The Business Development team at Harris Beach is in search of a hard worker to develop, plan, communicate and manage all firm-hosted or sponsored events. This talented individual will be responsible for community relations, attorney development, and strategic planning. You will THRIVE in this role if you have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in marketing (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience with project and program management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Effectively and efficiently respond to timely requests, issues, and concerns from attorneys and management
  • Strong client service and listening skills with the ability to exercise sound independent judgment under minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organization and project management skills to track and manage competing priorities

This individual will coordinate and manage all activities related to firm-hosted or sponsored events including seminars, sponsorships, and speaking engagements. Do you have the DRIVE and DESIRE to:

  • Manage and develop each of the office business development plans and budgets, working closely with the Office Managing Partners and Office Managers
  • Independently manage the planning and communications with attendees and vendors, and the execution of logistics for attorney development and strategic planning
  • Coordinate in-person and online events including industry conferences, client events and webinars, engaging others in marketing/business development and attorneys to coordinate the firm’s involvement in industry conferences, seminars, and external events, including development of advertisements and other marketing materials
  • Identify and support the offices in the execution of their community relations by providing research, ideas and management of the community partner relationships and execution of community outreach plans and sponsorships. Provide ongoing metrics and reports to support events and sponsorship effectiveness and ROI
  • Manage internal and external event stakeholders to deliver all event logistics, including audio/visual, related marketing/communications, materials, and appropriate follow-up
  • Manage the bill processing for expenses related to programs and sponsorships. Track and report budgets associated with the programs and sponsorships
  • Manage calendars, communications, and attendance tracking for the business development programs and sponsorships. Prepare and distribute a monthly notice to firm regarding business development activities and keep the firm-wide calendar up to date
  • Support the promotion of programs and sponsorships through website/blogs, social media and firm intranet. Connect social media promotion to relevant organizations and groups
