Location: Long Island, NY preferred (HB Uniondale office - hybrid remote opportunity)

This individual is responsible for managing the firm’s business plan development and execution for select practice groups, industry teams, and attorneys. The Business Development team is in search of a highly organized individual with essential customer service philosophies and a professional, cooperative, positive attitude! You will THRIVE in this role if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a managerial role in a law firm or other professional services organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; Effectively and efficiently respond to timely requests and concerns
  • Sound judgment and a sense of accountability for working independently and proactively, and determination to work efficiently with competing project deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically and identify synergies

The Manager of Business Development & Marketing is expected to partner with practice group and industry team leadership to develop and execute on strategic plans. Do you have the DRIVE and DESIRE to:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the firm’s practice groups and industry teams, including attorney expertise, firm experience, industry/trade group organizations, trends, firm clients and competitors
  • Assist attorneys as needed in developing their individual marketing/business development plans on an annual basis; Assist new lateral partners with integration and the development and execution of their business plans
  • Develop and monitor team budgets aligned to the team’s strategic plans in collaboration with practice group and industry team leadership
  • In collaboration with content manager, develop content strategy that highlights key growth priorities from the group’s plan, as well as emerging topics
  • In collaboration with manager of events and sponsorships, support development of firm-led, industry and regional events and programs. Coordinate and support practice group and industry team sponsorships/memberships
  • In collaboration with manager of communications and PR, support media, public relations and social media opportunities for practice groups and industry teams, including but not limited to media outreach and development of press releases, announcements, firm news and articles
