POSITION SUMMARY:                 Responsibility for training donated goods staff on operational procedures including production processes, sales-floor procedures, customer service and merchandising standards. This position is responsible and will be held accountable for behaving in accordance with divisional and organizational RISE values and expectations.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Assist with the development of Retail-specific content and support implementation of The Rise Academy (TRAc) program.

 

  1. Provides on-going support to managers and participants through TRAc program to ensure successful progression of employee development at all levels.

 

  1. Acts as a part of the Store Operations “SWAT” Team to support TRAc program and to maintain standard retail operations in response to limited management coverage or as determined by needs of the business.

 

  1. Adheres to scheduled visits across retail locations to provide support, offer hands-on training, and identify opportunities for improvement.

 

  1. Assists with manager onboarding by providing training and ensures training sites are compliant throughout the push for production system.

 

  1. Provides recommendations for new training curriculum and assist with content development for programs or tools that are introduced to the Retail Division.

 

  1. Updates written and online training and reference resources including but not limited to the Retail SharePoint site and the Learning Management System (LMS).

 

  1. Meets with Retail Operations Trainer routinely and provides updates on assignments.

 

  1. Provides on-call problem-solving support to Managers and Associates.
  2. Assists with new store openings by providing training in production and retail, implementing Kaizen standards, and comply with merchandising specifications.

 

  1. Must understand and operate the POS system and provide support to the stores as needed.

 

  1. Delivers retail operations training to Managers and other Associates via live presentations, recorded video, Webcasts, and other written and computer-based media.

 

  1. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

 

  1. Ability to develop curricula to support learning.

 

  1. Basic math and computer skills.

 

  1. Knowledge of retail operations.

 

  1. Knowledge of POS/Cash Register Systems.

 

  1. Skill in oral and written communication.

 

  1. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

 

  1. Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude, and appropriate professional appearance in accordance with GGW standards.

 

  1. Ability to establish and maintain meaningful, purposeful, and mature interpersonal relationships.

 

  1. Valid Driver’s License and access to a working vehicle to deliver services in remote locations, attend trainings, and meetings on a daily basis.   

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  1. Skill in on-the-job training and classroom instruction, and presentation methods and techniques.

 

  1. Previous supervisory experience.

 

  1. Previous experience in a donated goods environment.

 

  1. Previous experience working with the disabled and disadvantaged.

 

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field and/or four years of equivalent experience.

 

  1. Bilingual in Spanish.
