ENGINEER IN TRAINING

Job Title: Engineer in Training
Department: Engineering 

Duties/Responsibilities:
We are looking for an Engineer in Training to join our team. The successful candidate will aid in the design of architectural and structural precast/pre-stressed concrete systems for office buildings, schools, hospitals, stadiums, warehouse, and other commercial and institution projects. A bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited university is a requirement. 

Required Skills/Abilities:
Produce structural design calculations for reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, and structural steel connections using a variety of tools including Robot Structural Analysis, RISA-3D, Mathcad, Erickson Wall, Microsoft Excel, and others. 

• Use Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD to view, manipulate, and generate 3D models and 2D drawings or sketches. 
• Must interact with Engineers, modelers, project managers, contractors, and plant production personnel to produce accurate design information. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines 
• Ability to function well in a fast paced environment 
• Highly detail oriented 
• Strong communication skills
• Perform additional duties as requested or required

Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university and EIT licensure (Civil Engineering) is a requirement. 
Experience in Precast or Structural is preferred. 

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, bend, reach, climb stairs, squat, grasp, and twist for extended periods 
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as 6" leatherwork boots, hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection when going into production areas.
