ENGINEER (Remote)

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Produce well-organized design calculations and details for structural (parking structures and total precast) and architectural projects requiring panel types including hollowcore, total precast components, and architectural panel types whether mildly reinforced, prestressed, or post-tensioned.
• Interface with GATE Precast’s internal team players such as Directors, Sales, Estimating, Project Management, Production personnel, Engineers, and Design support.
• Interact with external team players including General Contractors, Owner's Representatives, Architects, and Engineers.
• Perform analysis related to stripping and rigging of precast concrete members
• Perform structural engineering design for steel hangers and frames for erecting and handling precast concrete members
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis on precast concrete wall panels
• Design and analyze connections and anchoring both for handling and erecting precast wall panels
• Perform structural modeling using software

• Knowledge of design standards for precast concrete products and familiarity with PCI design handbook
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willing and able to lead a team of drafters to ensure the successful completion of projects

Desired Skills

• Proficient with Revit, Eriksson, LECWall-Losch, Salmons Technology, RISA 3D and Mathcad

Education and Experience:

A B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited University is required.  PE licensure (Civil Engineering) with experience in the engineering of concrete is preferred.
