ENGINEER IN TRAINING

Job Title:     Engineer In Training          Department:  Engineering
Reports To:   Engineering Manager    

Duties/Responsibilities:

We are looking for an Engineer In Training to join our team. The successful candidate will aid in the design of architectural and structural precast/pre-stressed concrete systems for office buildings, schools, hospitals, stadiums, warehouses, and other commercial and institutional projects.  A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited university is a requirement.

Required Skills/Abilities:

·        Produce structural design calculations for reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, and structural steel connections using a variety of tools including Robot Structural Analysis, RISA-3D, Mathcad, Eriksson Wall, Microsoft Excel, and others.

·         Use Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD to view, manipulate, and generate 3D models and 2D drawings or sketches.

·         Must interact with Engineers, modelers, project managers, contractors, and plant production personnel to produce accurate design information.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

·         Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

·         Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment

·         Highly detail oriented

·         Strong communication skills

·         Perform additional duties as requested or required

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university and EIT licensure (Civil Engineering) is a requirement.

Experience in Precast or Structural is preferred

Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, bend, reach, climb stairs, squat, grasp, and twist for extended periods
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as 6" leather work boots, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection when going into production areas.
