The Naples Daily News and Fort Myers News-Press, award-winning news organizations in Southwest Florida and part of the USA TODAY NETWORK, is seeking a full-time photojournalist who is skilled in photo and video to join our digital-first news team. We have a veteran staff of visual story tellers and we have an opening. We are looking for a photographer/videographer who can share stories across multiple platforms.

The successful candidate will be committed to high-quality journalism and multimedia storytelling, someone who can easily create multiple photo packages a day, capturing moments of all kinds from high school sports to redevelopment projects to hurricane damage. This job requires flexibility and interest in local news.

Journalism communicates vital information. It helps readers develop connections to each other and their communities, and it challenges both readers and powers-that-be to seek change. If you can do this with a camera, we should talk.

Requirements:

•Understands journalism ethics, sourcing and the digital-first mission.

•Core photojournalism skills (reporting, photography, and videography, editing software).

•Bachelor's degree in journalism is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•Minimum experience of at least two years, which could include freelancing, internships, and college publication work.

•Knowledge of AP style, command of English grammar and spelling and a commitment to accuracy.

•Comfortable in fluid, fast-breaking, stressful situations.

•Knows how to use social media such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to enhance reporting and promote stories.

•Collaborates well and can work with a team on the biggest stories.

•Contributes to written – in addition to visual – news reporting as needed.

•A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the minimum liability insurance required by state law.

•Employment is contingent on passing a post-offer pre-employment background check and a motor vehicle record check and drug screen.

•Must have the ability to work out of town when needed

•FAA Part 107 Drone certification a plus

•Podcast experience a plus

•Livestream experience a plus
