Manager of Revenue/Sales


Reviewed/reviewed.com, a part of the USA TODAY NETWORK, is seeking Manager of Revenue/Sales to manage business development and strategic partnerships for Reviewed.com, focusing on the affiliate business and licensing. Grow revenue from sales optimization, and profit of USA TODAY’s e-commerce business, through affiliate deals with brands and merchants. Work with and manage partnerships with top retailers and brands. Help build and define the most loved and useful destination for product recommendations and reviews.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Source, manage and grow e-commerce sales, drive new revenue from affiliate partnerships, and build audience and partnership strategies for Reviewed.com & USA TODAY NETWORK.
  • Develop tailored sales operations and growth strategies to monetize and increase new sources of revenue for the company; based on industry trends, sales data, search opportunities, and audience insights.
  • Research, vet, onboard, and launch new licensing partnerships that contribute to USA TODAY and Reviewed.com e-commerce portfolio, by ensuring that they can increase revenue and/or affiliate.
  • Pitch and sell new partnership franchises, including awards programs, holidays, affiliate guarantees, and product placement.
  • Work directly with brands, merchants, retailers and more to implement new partnerships, and help drive increased promotion and awareness across the existing portfolio.

 Business Development and Sales Responsibilities:

  • Grow strategic affiliate sales and deals with retailers and brands across all relevant categories (Tech, Lifestyle, Home & Appliances, Finance, Parenting, Cooking, Health & Wellness, DTC.)
  • Manage daily outreach and sales efforts + monitoring of goals and sales objectives.
  • Launch, monitor, track all partnerships and optimize + upsell existing relationships.
  • Research and scope any new potential expansion areas or categories by building business cases and financial models to assess opportunities.
  • Network and engage with others in the licensing and affiliate marketing space in order to stay on top of market developments. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in business, marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in strategic sales or business development role.
  • E-commerce, affiliate and publishing / media industry expertise required.
  • Track record of selling new business and/or ads from plan to execution.
  • High-growth organization history is preferred.
  • Possess the drive to analyze and optimize results daily to understand business performance and opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong business judgment, with experience in sales and pitching.
  • A dynamic leader and colleague who inspires others to achieve outstanding results.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and in person with experience. communicating with senior executives.

Office work takes place in an open-floor-plan office, with several smaller meeting rooms and test labs throughout the building.
