Fortitude Re is a liability-led reinsurer of legacy insurance portfolios complemented by sophisticated investment capabilities. In 2016, AIG created a “Legacy” portfolio as a separate non-core segment representing insurance reserves associated with discontinued lines of commercial Property & Casualty and Life & Annuity insurance businesses. The following year, AIG formed a Bermuda-domiciled composite reinsurer, now Fortitude Re, to house the Legacy portfolio in a separate, distinct, well-capitalized balance sheet with a dedicated management team. In 2018, the company entered into a series of L&A and P&C reinsurance transactions with AIG and received an initial capitalization of ~$3 BN. The transactions represented ~$37 BN of reserves supported by ~$40 BN of invested assets. During this time, AIG also entered into a long-term partnership with The Carlyle Group, with Carlyle acquiring 19.9 % ownership. Then in 2019, The Carlyle Group and T&D announced acquisition of majority interest in Fortitude Re from AIG. Role Summary

This job role will assist in performing Information Technology operational duties that would help achieve resilient, responsive, and reliable IT ecosystem for Fortitude Life and Annuity Solutions.   The role will coordinate internal and third party technology service providers operations.  This role will monitor services, triage service failures coordinating with the providers, and provide analytics for service delivery from a multitude of providers. 

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and measures day to day service levels of IT services   
  • Monitors and tracks incident and problem management process for Sev1 and Sev2 incidents
  • Provides analysis of L1,L2, L3 performance against service levels for incident, request, problem, and change (ITIL)
  • Ensure communication of ITSM changes are made effectively
  • Assist with 3rd party vendor issues / maintain day to day service relationships
  • Processes escalation requests with appropriate notification and tracking
  • Provides additional analytics against using data from various IT systems and processes on an ad hoc basis
  • Collect and organize SLA metrics from vendors
  • Assist in building PowerPoint decks for leadership presentations
  • Provides written specifications and charts for IT systems and processes
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ Years of Business Analyst experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or IT Data discipline or equivalent experience
  • IT SDLC and ITIL knowledge – SDLC knowledge required, ITIL knowledge required
  • Excellent Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Working skills with Jira and Confluence (creating dashboards, confluence pages, updates, etc.)
  • Ability to develop queries to extract data
  • Must be a problem solver
  • Critical thinking to effectively challenge data and develop recommendations
  • Business driven to achieve measurable results
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technology systems processing
  • Communicate effectively with front line manager and business community department heads
