What We Need

FLEETCOR is currently looking to hire a Travel Account Manager within Hotel Connections division. This position is under our Lodging line of business. This role is responsible for overseeing all hotel and transportation components and logistics for our airline partners’ Flight Crews. This includes direct, high-touch management of both hotel-provided Crew transport as well as that of our growing third-party contracted Crew transportation for hotel properties away from the airport. The focus is on developing strong strategic relationships with our stakeholders while ensuring excellence on-time service delivery that results in strong revenue and margin performance for the company. The role is an integral part of the full value chain that we offer our clients from sourcing & procurement services, business analytics, account support, implementations, fleet operational efficiencies and safety oversight, to vendor performance reporting and contract auditing. You will report directly to the Account Director and regularly collaborate with various departments.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Function as Hotel Connection’s liaison with Airline and Hotel partners
  • Strategically partner with the company’s cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of priorities and to meet and exceed account performance goals and our client’s expectations
  • Assist with in researching new ground transportation and hotel opportunities and vendors
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Hotel and GT Industry Competitive Analysis database
  • Represent TAC with a positive, highly visible presence for these and other key travel industry trade groups and organizations
  • Work collaboratively with the teams to ensure Hotel and GT is deeply embedded in all facets of Flight Crew sourcing opportunities and participate on Hotel and GT Vendor Site Inspections.
  • Co-negotiate to achieve solutions-focused Triple Win outcomes for Clients, Vendors and TAC
  • Assist with Client Implementations and Systems Integrations for all contracted services to ensure seamless and efficient, end-to-end Crew hospitality transport and stay experiences from Airport to Hotel to Airport.
  • Liaise closely with our hotels and GT vendor partners to ensure their operational policies, procedures, vehicle maintenance and insurance coverages adhere to mandated governmental and airport authority rules and regulations
  • Develop proprietary Flight Crew Transport Brand Standards and perform Vendor Contract Performance & Compliance and Secret Rider Audits to ensure consistent service delivery
  • Familiar with Flight Crew Schedule Management, Hotel Reservations systems, tools and Crew Mobile Apps
  • Actively participate in the company’s annual business plan/budget and multi-year strategic account planning processes that develops aggressive performance objectives, financial targets and critical project milestones
  • Support and guide account management team members whenever Crew, IROP or Distressed Passenger ground transportation services are required
  • Assist with GT vendor invoicing, billing and reconciliations, compliance and reporting

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) is required and a Master’s program is preferred
  • 5+ years of management experience in the ground transportation field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software
  • Ability to travel on short notice and for extended trip duration; Up to 30%
  • Excellent people skills and a customer-focused approach to establish partnerships/alliances
  • Significant experience in engaging and facilitating dialogue with C-level and senior executives 
  • Excellent time management and follow-up skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong financial acumen and attention to detail
  • Experience based “Issue Resolution” skills that facilitate dialogue across all levels of a business including IT and Operations.
  • Strong analytic and strategic skills to assist in the development of value propositions and customer segmentation strategies
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Extensive hands-on, in-depth knowledge of the Ground Transportation, Airline and Hotel industries and their daily operations
  • Significant experience in engaging and facilitating dialogue with C-level and senior executives
  • Ability to thrive in demanding, fast-paced environments requiring sense of urgency, stamina, patience and excellent time management skills
  • Strong financial acumen and a focus on the details of all facets of the position
