We're seeking an Associate Davit Technician.  Are you a skilled technician with experience in hydraulic davit systems? We are seeking an enthusiastic Associate Davit Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installation, testing, and servicing of davit systems and other related equipment under the guidance of a senior technician. Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain hydraulic davit systems and other designated equipment.
  • Conduct wiring of panels and davit systems, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating professionalism and efficiency.
  • Provide support for shipboard operations, including commissioning, servicing, and addressing casualties worldwide.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of service activities, including internal service records, customer logs, and expense reports.
  • Occasionally assist with shop duties such as machining, assembly, testing, and warehouse tasks.
  • Follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Participate in annual safety training sessions as outlined in the regional safety schedule.
  • Adhere to all quality system requirements and ensure quality workmanship in all tasks.
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship and act as an ambassador for customer satisfaction.

 

Qualifications We're Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Crane Operator Certification preferred.
  • Three plus years of experience in davit systems supporting navy customers or relevant industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hydraulic equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting diagrams, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate technical issues effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 75%, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
