HCC Coder, Risk Adjustment-Medicaid/Medicare

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree, preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years of coding/auditing experience with HCC Risk Adjustment or Inpatient Coding
  • CRC certification
  • CPC or CCS certification
  • RHIT or RHIA certification

URGENT NEED FOR EXPERIENCE IN North Carolina, Washington DC, Ohio

CCA or CPCA will not be considered.

 

Additional Skills:

  • Medicaid is a Bonus
    • E&M/CPT Experience preferred
  • Medicare coding experience
  • Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines
  • Previously clinical background preferred but not required
  • Strong personal and professional ethics
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Review medical records as outlined per client project
  • Complete audits with quality review as assigned
  • Achieve quality and production targets defined per client project
  • Follow all project related protocols, procedures and instructions as documented and instructed by manager
  • Update all the logs, i.e. productivity, clarification, and others as applicable
  • Comply with EXL, HIPAA, and other regulations and guidelines related to patient confidentiality and protocols for client information
  • Check with Manager for issue resolution and clarification as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
