THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Sales Development Manager, you will contribute in building out a playbook to train, onboard and coach the BDR teams to follow up on inbound leads with a sense of urgency, generate new leads through cold-calling and outreach, and to convey an engaging and informative discovery conversation in order to then set qualified leads for the outside sales teams. You aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and to do the work yourself in order to model appropriate cadence and responses. You’ll also frequently collaborate with other departments, including Account Management, Outside Sales, Operations and Marketing.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hire, Coach and Manage a team of BDRs, including tracking sales targets
  • Confidently forecast on and own the results of your team
  • Develop the sales, product, and industry skills of each team member
  • Motivate team members through creative incentives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support local market fit
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of Process, Efficiency, and Productivity
  • Assist with creating and rolling out a BDR sales playbook for us with onboarding and training
  • Report sales metrics and suggest improved processes
  • Develop and execute a sales plan with monthly and quarterly sales forecasts
  • Participate in weekly and monthly one-on-one and team forecast and pipeline reviews, meetings and training sessions to ensure ongoing improvement and best-practice sharing
  • Use data to identify opportunities for team and individual improvement and monitor progress over time
  • Collaborate with other teams to enhance and ensure a stellar customer experience (e.g., smooth handoff to Sales Executives)
  • Any additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar, inside sales leadership role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field
  • High level of experience with outbound lead generation
  • Experience managing an outbound lead generation team
  • In-depth understanding of the sale administration process in order to develop strategy
  • Experience working with business process software
  • CRM + multiple tech platform use experience
  • In-depth understanding of business processes and workflows
  • Strong understanding of internet-based technologies and systems
  • Strong conflict management and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • High attention to detail regarding documentation and processes
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to perform well in a team dynamic
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and changing schedules
  • Eagerness and enthusiasm to learn
