The purpose of this position is to enhance company growth through the provision of clinical and professional knowledge and support to travelers, client contacts, and in-house employees.


•Acts as liaison between recruiters and facilities

•Provides healthcare professionals (HCP), travelers and per diem, with clinical and professional support during assignments to facilitate assignment completion and traveler retention.

•Uses in-depth clinical knowledge, professional judgment, and good business-based decision-making skills to justify HCP terminations within a legal and ethical framework.

•Develops remediation plan with HCP / Client HCF / Cross Country University (CCU) as appropriate to continue/enhance employment.

•Follows-up with HCP and facility client on all traveler evaluations that do not meet clinical standards or have negative clinical comments.

•Refers appropriate candidates to and serves as clinical resource to the Clinical Enrichment Program. Develops and secures appropriate orientation for CEP candidates with facility, reviews status post placement.

•Refers potential risk management incidents/issues as needed.

•Provides the supply team guidance in making initial employment decisions when candidates do not meet the standard criteria for acceptance.

•Provides the in-house employees with ongoing clinical and professional education based on the identified needs of an individual or group.

•Communicate and negotiate with internal and external clients

•Interacts in a professional and knowledgeable manner during conflict resolution with traveler and client to facilitate development of a win-win plan.

•Works with the Account Services leadership team to plan, develop and implement QI initiatives.

•Acts as resource to HCP to meet cognitive testing requirements of facility, to include CCU’s on-line testing and remediation practices.

•Availability for defined territory travel (expected frequency minimal <10% travel) For the purpose of on-site potential and current client visits as well as scheduled exhibit shows.

•On-site visits to defined clients for the purpose of:

- Increasing CCS clinical visibility

- Expanding/growing relationships with current clients at all levels of the Nursing continuum

•Maintains accurate record keeping, utilizing CCS current systems

•Represent and support the business initiatives of Cross Country Staffing internally and externally.

•Provides coverage and back up support to Interview Service Managers and Clinical Service Managers

•Service all internal and external customers in a positive manner at all times.

•Registered nurse with strong clinical (3+ years) background and proven leadership experience

•Current Registered Nurse License – to remain current throughout tenure with CCS

•Previous Quality Improvement experience in a clinical setting.

•Interviewing/recruitment experience preferred

•Computer skills to include advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills
