This position is with our company Fab-Tech, which manufactures PermaShield Pipe (PSP®), a revolutionary hybrid fluoropolymer coated stainless steel duct system recognized worldwide as the premier solution for corrosive and hazardous fume exhaust needs. PermaShield Pipe is a fully engineered, modular fume exhaust system that combines the reliability of stainless steel with the superior corrosion resistance of Fab-Tech's proprietary PermaShield Fluoropolymer Barrier Coating. PSP carries a highly regarded FM4922 approval as well.

SUMMARY

 

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented and capable of covering a broad range of finance and accounting tasks including month end close activities, budget versus actual analysis, and Job Cost Reporting.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Operations and Costing:

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs
  • Analyze actual production costs vs standards and recommend changes, areas of focus
  • Collecting and analyzing data about the company’s operational costs across multiple plants
  • Prepare reports and summaries for supervisors and managers as needed
  • Prepare weekly data reporting for management
  • Prepare weekly Job Cost Reporting including budget vs actual summary and supporting details
  • Analyze standard and actual margins realized by; Customer, Product, Product size

 

Accounting and Inventory valuation:

  • Reconciling inventory – raw materials, work in process, & finished goods.
  • Analyze inventory valuation
  • Post to the General Ledger, trial balance, adjustments, journal entries
  • Act as an integral part of financial audits, bank audits, 401(k) audits and others as needed
  • Anticipate potential problems as they develop and communicate such to Controller
  • Analyze weekly/monthly cycle counts and report finding and suggest corrective actions
  •  Finance lead on year-end inventory count.
  • Ensure tasks are completed accurately by consistently maintaining excellent attention to detail
  • Interact with staff members and workers in a professional and ethical manner
  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times
  • Able to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance. Prior Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required. Basic understanding of inventory movement as well as inventory costing. Superior computer skills to include Windows-based accounting software, strong Excel skills, Word, Outlook. 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply basic mathematical skills and analyze mathematical trends in data. 

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies, and provide solutions.  Ability to identify problems, collect information, establish facts, and suggest solutions.  Ability to develop and support conclusions.
