NEHP and ENGVT are an EPC (engineer, procure, construct) firm with locations in Williston, VT, Dallas, TX, and Phoenix, AZ. The Construction Manager will work directly with the project management team to help execute the project per the contract documents.

NEHP Construction Productivity Improvement & Modular Integration.

Vermont based NEHP is a modular integrator and Off-Site Manufacturer (OSM) providing construction productivity improvement through pre-construction programming, engineering, project management and integration.  The majority of NEHP’s projects are located in the continental US and are primarily focused in semiconductor manufacturing facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage awarded Subcontractors to align on schedule, budget, changes in scope, logistics, daily planning and weekly look-aheads as they apply to the job site.
  • Review and understand drawings and specifications to become completely familiar with the project scope of work
  • Work with the Project Manager and Project Engineering team to understand scopes of work and manage jobsite Mechanical contractors
  • Track all changes in Subcontractor scopes of work in the field.  Prepare documentation and coordinate with the Project Manager & Sr. Project Controller to ensure issue of Change Order Requests (COR) to the owner
  • Assist the Project Manager to prepare preliminary visual schedules and project schedules to align with NEHP build sequence and align with the Master Project Schedule.
  • Manage/Participate in weekly subcontractor meetings (prepare/update meeting minutes)
  • Work with Quality Manager to ensure on-site deficiencies are captured, recorded and tracked to completion
  • Track and record “loose ship” containers to ensure proper hand-off and documentation by on-site joining subcontractor
  • Manage jobsite joining scopes of work performed by awarded mechanical subcontractors
  • Engage and coordinate with the Project Management Team in VT if/as needed
  • Coordinate schedule and logistics with the Integration Shop Superintendent
  • Coordinate and align with the Quality Control Team
  • Attend weekly job-site meetings for coordination and alignment with NEHP crew and the Construction Manager
  • Attend all necessary/required client and contractor morning coordination meetings
  • Manage daily walk-down of connected services to ensure alignment with model content and issued transition and joining documentation
  • Align and coordinate with Rigging foreman and NEHP Rigging Superintendent to ensure continuity between first and second shift activities

Qualifications and Preferences:

  • Excellent or advanced understanding or experience in the construction industry.  A concentration in mechanical systems is necessary.  High purity process mechanical systems experience is a plus.
  • Supervisory experience of job-site scopes of work and management of performing subcontractors
  • Proficient with MS Office applications is a plus (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Outlook and MS Project) Working knowledge of PDF editor and File Sharing is also helpful.
  • Proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction or Engineering discipline or closely related subject, OR equivalent yrs experience.
  • 10+ years Construction Management experience in a field supervisor role.
  • Very strong oral and written communication skills.
  • High energy level, self-motivated and directed, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Very strong customer-service orientation.
  • Ability to solve constantly evolving problems while working with a team to find a solution that is best for the project/team
