Job Description

What you will do:

Under the direction of the Director of Application Development, the incumbent will work on an agile team developing innovative healthcare technology solutions that remove barriers for patients and physicians for specialty pharmaceutical products.

  • Be innovative! on new and existing solutions that drives innovation across the organization and have fun doing it!
  • Works directly with (internal/external) customers to understand their issues and needs, define changes to production systems, partner with other developers and designers including development teams outside the company, iterate through design and implementation, demo to stakeholders, gather feedback, launch, and incorporate lessons learned to improve the software development process going forward.
  • Writes software, including implementing, maintaining, and improving products developed by the company, in addition to internal tools, unit testing and code reviews.
  • Builds serverless applications that run in the cloud, that are robust and scalable to meet the demands of our business.
  • Participates in software design and design review, including being familiar with and contributing to Software Design Documentation (SDD).
  • Participates in continual improvement of the tools and processes involved in the software development process.
  • Works with Quality Assurance (QA), production support, other IT departments and Customer Support teams, including bug tracking/issue management.
  • Performs end-user and technical support to a wide range of executives, management, and staff members.
  • Engages with clients to understand scope and how critical new change requests are.
  • Automate solutions in our CI/CD

 

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Demos and ensuring successful releases to production.
  • Developing training plans, outlines, documentation of systems and materials for clients.
  • Serving as an SME after formal training.
  • Perform other job functions as needed

What we’d like from you:

  • At least 3 to 7+ years’ experience developing software for APIs and UIs.
  • At least 2 to 5+ years’ experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP or Azure, working with services similar to Api Gateway, Lambda, Dynamo, S3
  • Skill Sets: Node.js/Python, OOP languages, bash, scripting languages, automation, IDEs, etc.
  • Front End Frameworks: jQuery, Angular, Javascript etc.
  • Database/Data: DynamoDb, Relational Databases, Other Non-Relational Databases
  • Software Engineering: Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Design Patterns, Architecture, etc.
  • Process: Scrum, Agile, Kanban, JIRA

This position primarily uses Node.js (other languages include .Net, NetCore, Python, Bash and Powershell) and AWS serverless services (Lambda + many others)

Education

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering required.
