PRIMARY PURPOSE

Responsible for the successful development, implementation, schedule, and cost performance of a major and / or complex project/program, or multiple projects/programs, which may be technical in nature, in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines, from inception through completion. Establish design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Advise management on ways to monitor and improve operations. Initiates activities to improve the efficiency and/or effectiveness of CNA processes. Develops budgets and manages resources. Conducts analysis and supports business development as needed.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION AND/OR DUTIES

1. Direct the work of employees assigned to the program/project from technical and administrative areas; collaborate with stakeholders to develop program vision and plan.

2. Act as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.

3. Ability to independently develop and finalize client-ready deliverables.   

4. Lead the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.

5. Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtain solutions such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

6. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Education: Master's degree, or equivelant combination of education and work experience. PMP Certification preferred.

2. Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience with at least 5 years experience in Program Management of professional, research, or complex technology contracts. Completed project development from inception to deployment, demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction, proven expertise in the management and control of funds and resources, demonstrated capability in managing complex multi-task contract. Must have project management training, preferrably agile and /or waterfall methods, experience managing a staff of multiple people, and experience preparing and delivering project reports and deliverables.

3. Skills: Comprehensive working knowledge of industry standard project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Jira, Excel, Powerpoint. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

4. Other: Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance upon hire with ability to maintain clearance.

5. Remote/Hybrid Work Eligibility: This position is eligible for telecommuting or hybrid work arrangements at the discretion of the Supervisor. Employees may be required to work at CNA headquarters or other work locations resulting in changes to the scheduled telecommuting or hybrid work arrangements.
