Position Summary:  

 

The Revenue Assurance Analyst is responsible for (1) gaining a solid understanding of the ClearCaptions technical operations and regulatory framework, (2) working across multiple business units (Development, IT, Compliance, and Operations) to execute our billing process and facilitate improvements, (3) developing and communicating recommendations to management to facilitate appropriate billing decisions, (4) conducting supervised analyses to adjust the revenue numbers where appropriate, and (4) making recommendations and updating our best practices in order to improve the overall process.   

 

The Revenue Assurance Analyst is a critical component of company’s regulatory and financial success as ClearCaptions is required to submit detailed call record information to support its federal revenue submissions to an administrator of an FCC regulated fund.  The position reports to the Revenue Assurance Manager in the Finance department and will be based out of a home office supporting Corporate in Pacific Standard Time. 

This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to Revenue Assurance Manager. 

 

What you will do:  

  • Work the execution of the company’s billing process, you will.
    • Ensure the highest quality inputs and data integrity.
    • Create, maintain, and improve real-time visibility of potential billing issues and troubleshooting.   
    • Coordinate with internal compliance teams to ensure appropriate application of regulatory requirements into billing process design.
  • Actively work the revenue data reporting process, you will.  
    • Develop, maintain, and improve the QA scripts / checks for the billing process run, coordinate on the monthly run by confirming that the billing filters are in place and working correctly—this routinely includes working with complex SQL (T-SQL) queries. 
    • Validate that the revenue submission files contain the expected results and identify, document, and resolve any discovered issues. 
    • Actively participate in the adjustment identification process, including but not limited to:  conduct analysis, communicate the results of that analysis to appropriate parties, work with functional partners to document adjustment support information, and perform a final review of the data to be filed (with applied updates). 
  • Develop expertise on billing definitions and standards, you will.
    • Develop and implement processes and procedures for verification and validation of the monthly billing process. 
    • Review data for anomalies, document and communicate issues found, and follow up with business partners on resolutions and process improvements. 
    • Confirm billing updates are in place and working correctly, create a regression test of known billing issues to cycle new billing updates again before production, and document and maintain the processes used. 
  • Support ancillary processes and analytical information needs via other duties and special projects as required.

Qualifications:  

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Decision Sciences, or a related business degree and / or equivalent experience 
  • 4+ years of business experience with Billing Processes, Revenue Management and/or Quality Assurance  
  • 1+ years of any combination of 
    • Test script development; baseline development; unit & regression testing; and quality standards adherence.  
    • Develop and define QA processes, methodologies and policies for testing and review. 
    • Conducted QA for ETL, reporting and/or intricate data.
  • Maintains extremely high standards when identifying issues and seeking resolutions. 
  • SQL proficiency, specifically able to easily write complex queries, utilize intricate joins, review stored procedures, conduct extensive data extractions & comparisons. 
  • Work with Revenue Assurance Specialist and/or Revenue Assurance Manager to communicate ideas, drive consensus, and resolve issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams)

  • Sitting, standing, and walking (95-100%)    
  • Keyboarding (70-90%)    
  • Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone requiring close vision (70-90%)

Compensation
