JOB SUMMARY:

The IT Infrastructure Leader will be a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of our healthcare plan's technology infrastructure. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in IT infrastructure management, a deep understanding of healthcare operations, and the ability to drive technological advancements that align with our business goals.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive infrastructure strategy that supports the company's mission, objectives, and growth plans with a strong focus on cloud architecture.
  • Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure managers, engineers, analysts and technicians, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Define and maintain the architecture for the healthcare plan's technology infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that meet the needs of various healthcare business units.
  • Oversee the management, configuration, and optimization of network infrastructure, servers, storage, and virtualization platforms.
  • Ensure the continuous availability and performance of critical healthcare applications and systems.
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive healthcare data and ensure compliance with industry regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST).
  • Oversee cybersecurity team to develop and enforce information security policies.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal disruption to operations in the event of an outage or disaster.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring effective communication, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring.
  • Prepare and manage the infrastructure budget, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in healthcare IT and infrastructure to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Previous experience managing a redundant Azure environment is a plus.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration or 12 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 6 years in a leadership role within a healthcare environment.
  • Must have previous experience achieving SOC 2 Type 2 Certification.
