JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Financial Analyst will embrace a strong emphasis on financial modeling and management reporting. As a key member of our finance team, they will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and presenting financial models and reports that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for extracting insights from complex financial data, developing sophisticated financial models, and providing strategic recommendations to senior management. They will possess a deep understanding of financial analysis, advanced modeling techniques, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models that project the company's performance, including revenue forecasting, expense planning, and capital investment analysis. Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant data and assumptions for accurate modeling.
  • Management Reporting: Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports for senior management, department heads, and stakeholders. These reports will include key financial metrics, variance analysis, and insights to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Data Analysis and Manipulation: Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from diverse sources to generate meaningful financial insights. Employ data science techniques, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling to optimize financial strategies and enhance decision-making.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Financial Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with business units to develop accurate and insightful financial forecasts, highlighting risks, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement. Participate in the annual budgeting process and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Utilize historical data, industry trends, and business drivers to ensure accurate financial projections.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for cost optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial performance, identify risks, and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze financial and operational performance metrics to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. Present findings to key stakeholders and contribute to the development of data-driven business strategies.
  • Data Visualization: Present financial data and analysis in a clear, concise, and visually appealing manner. Utilize data visualization tools to enhance the understanding of financial trends and insights.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate financial results, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders. Collaborate with various teams to collect data, understand business drivers, and align financial analysis with strategic initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance financial modeling processes, reporting tools, and overall efficiency within the finance department.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial statement analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create insightful reports and dashboards.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling techniques in Excel. Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Financial Analyst, with a focus on financial modeling and management reporting.
