SSS is seeking a Chief Research Scientist who will be responsible for

  • The output associated with critical research project components
  • Establishing procedures and processes to ensure their smooth functioning
  • Provide timely operational information and assistance to leadership (i.e., Unit Psychologist, and Commanders and the research team’s Principal Investigator (PI))
  • Oversee and supervise day to day analytics and talent related projects and databases.

The Chief Research Scientist is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and communication of all phases of program evaluation and overseeing a research team whose focus includes data capture, data integrity, and data utilization as it relates to program evaluation, validation, and process improvements associated with the selection, training, and performance of a selectively manned AF unit. The contractor shall perform the following tasks:

 

Travel at least quarterly for systematic data collection and execution of selection program duties;

 

Travel at least quarterly to provide psychological program support to geographically separated units

 

Travel to Working Groups, Conferences, and Training events to maintain currency with industry best practices

 

Requirements:

  • The Chief Research Scientist should have a Doctorate degree in a related field and at least 18 to 20 years of experience working with active duty and DoD military personnel and at least 15 years of specific experience with special duty/special operations programs.  The Chief Research Scientist should have at least 10 to 12 years of experience in the fields Applied Behavioral Sciences, statistics, program evaluation and predictive analytics.
