Job Description:

Broadstep Behavioral Health Inc. is seeking a Qualified Professional to join our Community Support Team (CST) that provides direct clinical care to adults and children in our community based and in-home care programs in North Carolina. This position works closely with other clinical members of a defined team and serves an integral role in the treatment of patients in the behavioral health continuum.

Schedule & Location: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

 

Job Type: This is a community-based role that is not eligible for remote work.   

 Job Duties: 

  • Assists with crisis interventions.
  • Assists the Team Lead with behavioral and substance use disorder treatment interventions.
  • Assists with the development of relapse prevention and disease management strategies.
  • Participates in the initial development, implementation, and ongoing revision of the PCP.
  • Communicates the individual’s progress and the effectiveness of the strategies and interventions to the Team.
  • Lead as outlined in the PCP.
  • Provides intensive case management.
  • Linkage and referral to formal and informal supports.
  • Monitoring and follow up of assigned caseload.
  • Completes functional needs assessment(s) to determine the scope and anticipated outcomes to the services.
  • Assist with the individual’s housing search including engaging landlords to rent to individuals and writing reasonable accommodation letters.
  • Assist with connecting individuals to financial and in-kind resources to set up and maintain their household.
  • Prevent and mitigate housing crises including being a point of contact for landlord concerns.
  • Assist with rehousing individuals if they are no longer able to stay in their unit due to eviction or risk of eviction.
  • Assist in developing daily living skills to stabilize and maintain housing.

Required Education/Experience: 

  •  A master’s degree in a human service field and 1 year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has one year of full-time, postgraduate degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • OR a bachelor’s degree in a human service field and 2 years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has two years of full-time, a post bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • OR a bachelor’s degree in a field other than human services and 4 years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has four years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Strong clinical knowledge of the treatment/service needs of the clients served.
  • Skills in assessing strengths and needs, treatment plan development, and clinical service implementation. 

 

Required License/Credentials:   

  • QMHP Preferred
