Job Description
Legacy Behavioral Health Services is hiring individuals with a passion for making a difference in their community! We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to work in Lowndes, Tift, and Cook Counties in South Georgia. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, psychiatric diagnoses, and ongoing treatment for a large caseload of child and adolescent consumers. This position will provide evaluation and treatment to assess all the biological, psychological, and social factors that may be contributing to consumers disorders. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist will evaluate all information and carry out diagnostic and treatment methodologies and once the diagnosis is made, the psychiatrist will consult with the family to make individualized recommendations for treatment. This could include individual or group therapy, prescription medication and home activities. Will prescribe and monitor medications and responsible for ordering laboratory and other special diagnostic tests and evaluate date obtained.

This position requires:
- Must have a current medical license to practice psychiatry in the State of Georgia.
- Must be a board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.
- Must be able to utilize an electronic medical records system and be proficient in keyboard and computer use.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching as well as lifting and supporting patients.
