Program Coordinator, Families with Young Children

(Up to 27.5 hours / week)

The Jewish Federation of Howard County (JFHC) is a dynamic, community driven, non-profit organization looking to add a team member who wants to help us fulfill our vision to meet the human needs of the local Jewish community and of fellow Jews in Israel and world-wide. JFHC provides financial and emotional support to individuals through social service initiatives, enriches Jewish life through innovative programming, and builds collaborative partnerships that foster a strong sense of Jewish community and strengthen ties with the broader local community.

Position Description

The Program Coordinator for Families with Young Children implements the PJ Library program and Shalom Baby for families raising Jewish children in Howard County. The Program Coordinator will report to the Director of Community Engagement and handle all administrative and creative functions of PJ Library and Shalom Baby.

PJ Library mails high-quality, Jewish children's books to families every month. In addition, PJ Library events engage families raising Jewish children by celebrating Jewish values and culture. Shalom Baby offers a low-barrier way for our community to supply helpful information, baby items, and Jewish resources to families with newborn babies. We will unveil this program in the second half of 2022, and it will serve as a new, untapped entry point for future opportunities that will connect young families to each other and the Jewish community.  The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Development to establish sponsors and partnerships and will also work with the Director of Community Engagement to strategize engagement opportunities and growth.
