Summary

The IFS Technical Architect is responsible for optimizing M&A integration as well as our business processes and systems. With the rest of the IFS team, you will have responsibility for data migration for M&A integration activities including data mapping and validation, IFS support, as well as designing, developing, and implementing IFS solutions that align with our business goals and needs. You will also provide technical and process guidance and support to other IFS users.  To be successful as an IFS technical architect, you should have a strong background in IFS systems, software development, and project management / execution. You should also have good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with various stakeholders.


In This Position, You Will Have the Opportunity to

  • Analyze the current state of our business processes and systems and identify gaps, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy IFS solutions that meet the functional and technical requirements of our business.
  • Ensure the integration, security, performance, scalability, and reliability of our ERP (IFS) solutions.
  • Subject Matter expert in ERP IFS supply chain, manufacturing, planning, scheduling, inventory management, engineering/PDM, and warehousing.
  • Provide end user support by resolving tickets associated with Operations functionality. 
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on IFS/ERP system enhancements, upgrades, and new technology adoption.
  • Oversee the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, data migration, testing, and documentation elements of implementations.
  • Design and troubleshoot custom reports utilizing SQL and Crystal reports.
  • Lead data object identification, scoping, planning and cleansing activities for assigned area.
  • Drive adoption of data completeness and quality to align with ERP capabilities.
  • Drive harmonized industry-best practice data process across all divisions and geographies.
  • Facilitate decisions and the completion of the data readiness activities for data loads.
  • Leads and oversees workstream workshops.
  • Partners with others in the Business Data and Process domains to ensure successful handoff of complete and accurate data ready for data migration.
  • Ensure data meets business requirements, including close collaboration with key business leaders to ensure new requirements have appropriate data.
  • Works closely with systems integrator and provides input into migration plans and programs.
  • Looks for areas to optimize, automate process enhancements to drive business efficiencies.
  • Engages internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) during planning and execution.
  • Manages requirements gathering, outsourced development, testing, and deployment of system enhancement projects.
  • Analyzes software application issues and determines effective course of action to improve operational functionality.
  • Leads the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new modules and upgraded software.
  • Interfaces with the software vendors for any application bug resolution or application maintenance issues.

 

What You Need to Succeed in This Position

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with IFS system and its business processes.
  • At least 3 years of experience in database administration, writing / executing SQL.
  • Experience with acquisition integrations including IFS/ERP data mapping/migration, business process reconciliation and IFS add on module implementation.
  • Experience in web services, APIs, Rest, XML, and other integration technologies.
  • Experience with EDI technology and communications.  GHX experience a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills needed to include V Lookups and linking spreadsheets.
  • Prior Data Migration experience is needed for a qualified candidate.
  • Assisting with the analysis and correction of data as required. 
  • Assisting with data conversion efforts into ERP/IFS.
  • Performing testing conversion and data migration. 
  • Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing outsourced partners/vendors.
  • Expert knowledge of manufacturing concepts including MRP, product engineering, part lifecycle as well as order-to-cash, finance, sales, and quality assurance.
