RESPONSIBLE TO:Clinical Practice Manager
FUNCTION:
The Therapy Tech/Aide makes it possible for the clinicians to focus solely on providing quality therapy services to all patients. The Therapy Tech / Aide works diligently to keep the clinic flow / schedule running smoothly, promote patient safety by ensuring all areas are sanitized and ready when patients arrive, in order to ensures individuals, receive a full session of therapy services. They assist to streamline workflows for clinical team members, and keep the clinic clean and organized each day.
Primary responsibility is to safely guide / transport individuals from the clinic registration desks, to and from the therapy rooms / appointments on time. In addition, they are responsible to ensure all therapy rooms and wait areas are cleaned according to all dept. standards and protocols between appointments in order to maximum the therapist down time between appointments. All other responsibilities and tasks are secondary and supportive to these.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Must review the days appointments and be aware of flow of the day.
When a patient arrives at the registration desk / waiting area, must guide / transport patient from the clinical waiting area / registration desk safely and on-time for the therapy appointment
When patient ends therapy session must guide / transport patient from the therapy room back to the clinic registration area safely and in a timely manner. And / or if needed to the main lobby of the building (i.e. MJRC 1st floor)
Must clean and wipe down mat tables and equipment after patient use according to all dept. protocols and standards
Performs laundering for the clinic, including washing, drying, putting laundry away.
Other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager or Clinical staff being supported
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school Diploma or GED preferred.Ability to review basic written reports/ schedules, maintain limited / notes documentation and attendance. Effective and appropriate communication and team work with the clinicians, patient access specialists and patients.
Physical condition commensurate with job duties including must be able to guide / transport patients/individuals safely, following the individual’s appropriate supervision and assistance levels.
Must be able to plan and think critically about logistics and scheduling ensuring that individuals are at their therapy appointments safely and on time.
