Customer Service Specialist
Position Title: Customer Service Specialist
Primary Location: Chester, VA
Reports to: Customer Service Manager
Position Summary: The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for providing premier customer service to internal and external customers with a high level of interpersonal and communication skills to manage high volumes of orders and issues and effectively problem-solve on a daily basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
·Provide premier customer service for products for external customers
·Provide extensive external and internal customer contact through order handling and problem solving
·Work with US/Export contacts to fulfill customer orders
·In the case of Export CSR
oUnderstand export process and shipping requirements
oAct as primary point of contact for International customers
·Function in a team environment, providing back-up and assistance when needed, without being asked
·Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal customers and other team members, company business contacts, and supply chain personnel
·Maintain an effective two-way communication with the business
·Be proactive in handling customer orders and problem-solving
·Maintain a working knowledge of SAP capable of solving routine issues
oWillingness to continue to learn new and improved processes
oWillingness to support SAP testing as needed
·Provide emergency support coverage during unexpected team absences
Basic Qualifications:
•College degree or commensurate experience in chemicals customer service
•ERP experience required, SAP (6.0) sales and distribution experience strong preferred

·Ability to multitask with minimal supervision
