Position Summary: The Technical & Customer Interface Manager is responsible for leading a highly trained team of engineers and driving continuous improvements in processes and production.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for developing site’s strategic vision, which delivers continuous improvement

· Responsible for compiling site’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and multi-year strategic plan (STRAP)

· Responsible for communicating strategic site capacity with the Supply Chain function

· Responsible for leading a team of engineers which execute strategic continuous improvement and customer focused initiatives

· Accountable for the site’s Quality/Laboratory department, and quality program compliance

· Accountable for the site’s manufacturing training department, and training outcome

· Accountable for the site’s Process Safety Management (PSM) program administration

· Accountable for improving site’s quality, yield, and customer satisfaction

· Accountable for staff’s utilization of continuous improvement tools, such as Lean Six Sigma

· Leads process improvement efforts and accountable for issue identification and resolution

· Accountable to operationalize new customer requirements for most efficient/improved product throughput.

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering

· Six Sigma and/or Lean certification preferred

· 10+ years of experience in production, process and/or manufacturing engineering within the chemical, petroleum, or polymer industrial manufacturing environments

· 2-3 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing leadership strongly preferred

Additional Qualifications:

· Proven history of delivering productivity through non-capital improvements and capital projects of all sizes

· Deep experience in the fundamentals of production optimization and process design for a broad range of unit operations including reaction, distillation, refrigeration, and fired heaters, heat integration

· Strong process and mechanical troubleshooting experience

· Strong verbal and written communication skills enterprise

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively with hourly union and salaried coworkers at all levels of an organization

· Demonstrated leadership in behavioral safety and environmental Title V compliance

· Strong computer skills, including process monitoring and process simulation and design.
