Position Summary: The HSE Training Leader is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the safety training standards for the organization. The HSE Training Leader will work closely with the HSE team as well as site leadership to improve and update the HSE master training plans.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop the HSE Training Curriculum and creation and refinement of training and learning plans for the organization

· Provide overall safety training and learning direction and management to multiple work groups and/or units engaged in diverse activities

· Oversee, facilitate, and ensure effective writing and development of safety qualification requirements for operations, maintenance, and laboratory

· Manage the Learning Web Site development and maintenance for HSE related training

· Attend and/or facilitate related business meetings

· Educate others of HSE learning processes

· Provide coaching in training safety methodology

· Conduct HSE learning needs assessments

· Ensure subject-matter experts are trained and certified to conduct training and coordinate with designated subject matter experts to ensure execution of training and learning plans and certifications

· Develop, coordinate, and conduct Leadership Training

· Report on training and qualification compliance/certifications

· Prepare training status reports, communications and procedures as required

· Responsible for learning and training effectiveness and process improvements

· Responsible for Training and Documentation of Control Audits

· Manage training budget

· Solicit and implement continuous improvement ideas

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in related field with a background in instructional technology, engineering technology or in technical training

· American Society of Training and Development Certification preferred

· 5+ years of experience in training/learning curriculum design and development

· 5+ years of experience administering technical training in an industrial/manufacturing environment

Additional Qualifications:

· Demonstrated leadership capabilities, widely-trusted, consistency between words and actions

· Must be self-motivated and demonstrate positive sense of urgency

· Experience working comfortably within all levels of the organization

· Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Working knowledge of Process Safety Management, ISO9001 Quality Management, and general OSHA Safety guidelines preferred

· Strong presentation skills

· Experience with technical writing preferred

· Experience in organizational development strongly preferred

· Experience working with SAP
