Job Overview: As the Corporate Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing all aspects of the organization's tax-related activities, ensuring compliance, optimizing tax strategies, and providing valuable insights to executive management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing the U.S. Federal, International, and State and Local (SALT) direct tax compliance functions by ensuring all returns are accurately and timely filed. Includes preparation of returns.
  • Assist with managing indirect tax compliance. Includes review and preparation of returns.
  • Assist with managing ASC 740 tax provision function for Federal, International, and SALT. Includes working closely both quarterly and at year-end with external auditors to provide support as requested.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary Federal, International and State taxes. (i.e., Transfer Pricing, M&A)
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on tax legislation changes.
  • Manage and facilitate IRS and other jurisdictional direct, indirect, and property tax audits by preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
  • Ensure other Misc. filings are completed accurately and timely. (i.e., Federal Excise Taxes)
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to manage and develop tax staff.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Federal, International, and State and Local direct and indirect taxes.
  • Working knowledge of ASC 740.
  • M&A experience
  • Proficient with technology (i.e., OneSource, Hyperion, Excel, and Checkpoint online tax research)
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in ways that are meaningful and useful to non-tax professionals.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, or Finance preferred
  • CPA designation preferred.
