Manufacturing Engineer, Senior
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing industrial manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high-quality products, and alignment with organizational goals. Utilizing advanced knowledge of product design, materials, tooling, production equipment, and quality standards, this role focuses on continuous improvement, process innovation, and leading cross-functional teams in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and implement manufacturing methods to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Analyze and optimize workforce utilization, production workflows, space utilization, and equipment layout to ensure maximum efficiency in production operations.
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and associated costs to provide accurate information for management decision-making. Lead the development of production schedules, ensuring alignment with operational goals and timelines.
- Work closely with vendors to define product specifications and purchase materials, tooling, and equipment necessary for production. Ensure that vendors meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements to support production schedules.
- Assess and evaluate products, materials, and processes against established quality standards. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement corrective actions to resolve any issues related to product quality or production efficiency.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of production processes, engineering changes, product specifications, and project progress. Ensure all records comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers and manufacturing teams. Foster a collaborative work environment and support the professional development of team members.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process enhancements, cost-reduction strategies, and innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures. Lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to 5S principles (e.g., workspace organization, cleanliness).
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills/Competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, tooling, and production equipment.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions.
- Ability to estimate production times, manage tasks within deadlines, and support planning efforts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, balancing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation, production processes, and quality evaluations.
- Eagerness to contribute to process improvement initiatives and adapt to new technologies and methods.
Qualifications
Required
- Education: Bachelor's
- Experience: Minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
