Join MacLean-Fogg as an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Intern and play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our safety culture.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Training and Leadership: Assist in training employees to recognize hazards and risks in a manufacturing environment. Lead the organization in identifying and controlling hazards and risks.
  • Inspections: Conduct workplace environmental, health, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Emergency Procedures: Support the management of emergency procedures, including drills, to ensure preparedness in case of an emergency.
  • Advice and Reporting: Offer general environmental, health, and safety advice to all employees. Report incidents, injuries, illnesses, and near misses using site-specific and corporate guidelines.
  • Reporting and Record Keeping: Establish site-specific EHS reports and communicate performance with site leadership. Maintain accurate EHS records, including OSHA injury & illness logs, environmental permits, training documentation, and equipment inspection records.
  • Audit and Closure: Track environmental, health, and safety inspections and audit findings to closure.
  • Lessons Learned: Share environmental, health, and safety lessons learned and encourage a learning culture on environmental, health & safety.
  • Partnership: Partner closely with all site leaders to create, maintain, and improve our safety environment.

 

What You Bring:

  • Currently enrolled in a college program related to Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety and quality.
  • Basic knowledge of EHS regulations and standards is preferred.
