Leadership Development Program – Branch Operations

Job Description:  We are looking for highly motivated and energetic individuals that have a desire to quickly advance into leadership opportunities within Branch Operations. The primary goals of this leadership development program are to learn to support both Associates and Leaders along with driving improvementJASPER has 51 branch locations nationwide that service our customers and this leadership development program will focus on giving the right candidate the skills necessary to lead the teams that support these locations from our corporate headquarters located in Jasper, IN. Throughout development, this position will also support groups of 5-25 Associates.  Given the fast-paced nature of the training, multiple departments to learn from, and various projects to oversee including JASPER’s Unified Management Plan (JUMP), candidates must be high energy and possess strong organizational and time management skills.  This role will be required to travel to any of our 51 branch locations nationwide to learn the operations and how to support our branches. Estimated travel during training and development is approximately 40-50%.

Key Responsibilities: They will work on many projects at one time so they must have strong time management skills. These high potential associates will learn to support many areas of our business to develop into cross-functional leaders. There will be time spent in various departments around the company that Branch Operations help to support.  Along with learning the day-to-day business processes within Branch Operations, below is the list of other leadership tasks that they will be completing during a working shift:

 

  • Review all call-ins and staffing plans for the day when supporting specific areas
  • Manage KTM (Key Task Monitor) projects related to JUMP Tactics 
  • Work with safety, quality, and JPS (lean manufacturing team) on concerns and/or opportunities
  • Finalize Continuous Improvement Ideas
  • Complete performance appraisals for Associates and Team Leaders
  • Conduct 2nd round interviews with candidates
  • Handle Associates Relation matters
  • Make and support schedules within Branch Operations including Branch Auditing,  Routing, and Telecommunications areas
  • Work directly with the Group Leader and Director of Branch Operations on creating Associate training plans
  • Participate in additional training sessions related to personal and team growth
  • Rotate into leading each area to develop cross-functional management skills
