Product Team - Product Owner
The Product Owner collaborates with the Product Manager and clients in capturing stakeholder requirements and delivering on the Product Roadmap created by the Product Manager and Product Director. The Product Owner is responsible for writing the stories for the requirements and reviewing those stories with the stakeholders, along with any wireframes, to ensure that requirements were captured correctly. The Product Owner then works with the Agile (Scrum) team to groom and deliver on the stories. The Product Owner ensures that the stakeholders are involved before and after development and are part of UAT testing before release to Production. The Product Owner works closely with the Agile Manager (Scrum Master) to manage the Agile team in regards to maintaining velocity and ensuring bug free Product and Product Feature delivery. The Product Owner is responsible for consistently grooming and prioritizing the backlog and collaborating with the Product Manager to ensure that all work is within the bounds of the Product Roadmap and prioritized to meet delivery deadlines.
Collaborate with the Product Manager and stakeholders to capture requirements and prioritize according to the Product roadmap and other priorities (e.g. Prod. Issues).
Create strong stories related to requirements.
Empower the Agile (Scrum) team to be involved in problem solving and solution design.
Works with the design team, where applicable.
Review stories with stakeholders, where applicable, before development.
Works with the design team to review designs with the development team and then the stakeholders, where applicable, beforedevelopment.
Partner with the Agile Manager to supervise and advise the Agile team to manage velocity, meet software expectations and develop bug free Products and Product features.
Communicate effectively with team members to achieve project goals
Work closely with the Agiled team throughout the development process
Schedule and lead meetings to identify issues and fixes for projects
Prioritize and maintain a product backlog according to product roadmap and delivery deadlines, keeping up to 3 or 4 sprints worth of stories groomed and ready to work.
Actively builds trust and reduces biases on the Agile team.
Ensures healthy, positive, and consistent performance.
Education and Experience:
3+ years experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager
3+ years experience managing Agile teams.
In-depth knowledge of agile process and principles
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Successful track record of developing products within deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
Creative and innovative thinker
Understanding of business value around feature/functions
Strong collaborative and inclusive spirit
Able to effectively manage conflicting stakeholder needs
Experience working with Google Suite preferred.
Bachelors or higher preferred.
Fluent in written and verbal English.
Willing and able to work 9-5 EST.
Must have access to fast, reliable internet connection.
Must be able and willing to travel. (Clients, team meet ups). Travel is limited.
