Human Resources Compliance Specialist

The HR Compliance function supports Aquent’s dedication to maintaining a fair and inclusive workplace.
Our next compliance specialist will be responsible for ensuring that HR policies and practices comply with applicable global, federal, state, and local laws. You will work closely with Employee Relations, HR Business Partners, Legal and other departments to ensure compliance is met for items such as record keeping, audits and government reports and for the overall culture of fairness, trust and alignment with Aquent’s mission and vision.
You’ll work from home in a supportive environment with colleagues who cheer on your successes and help you with your challenges.
This role is best suited for someone with 3-6 years of corporate HR compliance experience.
Primary Objectives
Ensure the organization is providing a compliant and safe environment for all employees, vendors and clients while partnering with all internal groups to support our business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor policies and programs in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including OFCCP Compliance, EEO, Vets and AAP.
Manage and oversee Human Resource compliance functions and services, consistent with federal and (multi)state laws/regulations, and company priorities, policies and procedures
Conduct periodic audits of current systems, procedures, policies, and workflows to ensure efficiencies and legal compliance; develop processes that improve department and end-user efficiency and enhance overall HR productivity
Implement and review data integrity audit functions and execute actions to improve the accuracy of data input into the system of record
Manage all HR policy guidelines, handbooks, and procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness of changes on an annual or as-needed basis
Manage response preparation, reporting and ongoing compliance reviews for government agency audits.
Manage unemployment and workers' compensation programs nationwide
Job classification reviews for FLSA guidelines
Partner with Employee Relations in policy development and documentation
Headcount tracking for reporting and analytics
Manage Employment files and record retention policies
Serve as SME for compliance-related training with the direction of Employee Relations
Assist with other projects and responsibilities as needed.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Minimum four (4) years of experience in an applicable HR role.
Excellent written and verbal communicator
Proven leadership, organizational planning and problem solving skills
Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge and prior experience of employment law.
Preferred
Staffing experience and HRIS management are strongly preferred.
Prior management experience
Google or Microsoft Office Experience (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Ceridian Dayforce
Experience managing and reporting on Affirmative Action Plans, EEO1 and Veterans

The role is considered remote and can be supported from a number of locations that cover standard US working time zones. There will be cases where in-person team meetings or attending conferences would be required.
