Indirect Technician - QC Incoming Inspection-Kolmar Quality Incoming Pkg Hourly

Title: Quality Control Technician – Incoming Inspection

Reports To: Associate Manager, QC

Department: Quality Control

Supervises: N/A

Organizational Relationships: Quality Control Department and Production.

Basic Function:

Assure conformance to specifications and standards. Performs inspections on component parts against specifications by means of scales, gauges, templates, drawings, etc. Must make accurate and detailed reports on acceptance or rejection as prescribed by procedure.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform inspection of component parts for conformance to specifications and standards.
2. Accurate documentation of all inspection and test results.
3. Sample components and verify carton identification by procedure.
4. Control and documentation of all defective material.
5. Participate in investigation of production line rejections.
6. Maintain and update customer specification manuals.
7. For customers with PDS programs, receive component disposition and effect disposition in QAD system.
8. Submit samples of new components to customer for approval as standards. Maintenance of component standards in Inspection Lab.
9. Works with Quality Manager and Production Supervisor on process control and quality improvement.
10. Maintain awareness and compliance with safety regulations in performing job duties.
11. Any other special projects and duties at the discretion of the Supervisor or Manager.
12. Initiate non-conformance reports related to rejected components.
13. Perform various instrument calibrations.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Ability to use measuring tools, scales, gauges, calipers as relates to component inspections.
3. Ability to read and interpret component drawings.
4. Good math and communication skills.
5. Computer literate.
